The 2017 Indiana Geographic Bee was held on Friday, March 31 on the campus of IUPUI. Dr. Tom Davis, Dean of the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, and Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, provided very moving and dynamic “welcome and congratulatory” remarks.
Ten (10) of the 102 participants had a perfect scores after the Preliminary Rounds; they advanced to the Final Round. Twenty-two (22) of the 102 competitors missed only one question during the Preliminary Rounds. Once again, our Indiana students demonstrated how AMAZINGLY AWESOME they are, a reflection of their great education (teachers and home support). THANK YOU to the schools, educators, administrators, parents/guardians, friends, and siblings of all of the participants for your encouragement, support, and love for learning!
